Yeah. So... these are some sketches I did in the run up to
NaNoWriMo of my main character, Jayne "Jay" Hellmann, and her best friend Forrest Winslow. Almost all the pictures here are of Jay, except the one of the dude with the beard and the little boy in the mud - that's Forrest. I won't bore anyone with details of the story - I'm not entirely sure of all the details myself yet, anyway! But if you

I love kids playing in mud too - I think all kids should be allowed to get dirty. Heck, if I had kids I'd be positively encouraging it - I'd probably get in there with them!
The story so far is that Jay has run away from home because her older sister and all the people in town are trying to push her into getting married and generally being more feminine now that she's turned sixteen and isn't a little kid any more (the story is set in the old west, so I figured people would be a little bit more strict on how people acted back then), and she's wound up in a bit of trouble. She's currently travelling with a guy called Logan (he's actually my OC Taylor's uncle but I kind of stole him and sent him back in time, lol), because they had to leave town pretty sharpish after a bar brawl. I have no idea what's going to happen next though! Hopefully I'll actually write Forrest into it at some point - he was in a flashback at the start of the story, but then his family left for some made up county in Unnamed state, USA...
At least it's not just me neglecting DA! I do want to do some art, but I just don't have the time, between work and commissions and NaNo...
Gotta ask - is your icon of Gatomon, or is it just my imagination? I miss Digimon...
And that sounds interesting. LOL Stealing your character and sending him back in time XD I've been known to re-assign characters as well, though. And lmao 'some unnamed state in the USA' XD well if it's in the old west, more than likely Wyoming, Kansas, or somewhere around there.

Forrest used to live near where Jay grew up with her dad, and they were pretty much inseperable until Forrest's family moved away when Jay was about twelve. She still misses him a lot though, especially as she has no other friends. She's travelling at the moment, and I'd like for her to be reunited with him again at some point in the story, but I'm yet to figure out how and when because I'm just making things up as I go along!

I'm behind on my nano =w=;; BUT I just stayed up and wrote over 2,000 more words. If I try and write 3,000-5,000 a day I'll be fine too SO I'm not too worried. Getting sick this month REALLY threw me off. BUT ah well. I'm staying optimistic! I can still do it!! Yours going well?
I have about half a dozen ideas of how they could be reunited... Once I've picked one (or, more likely, made a completely different one up...
